Jessie + Katey

Rockstar artist duo Jessie + Katey undertook the one of the most exciting art installations Allston has ever seen. From May 7th to June 4th, 2017 Jessie + Katey turned an entire building into a giant site specific art installation that used all sides and surfaces of the property. Jessie + Katey hosted two community engagement workshops during their residency on May 17th and May 24th. Jessie Unterhalter and Katey Truhn are a Baltimore based artist team that transforms public spaces into playful and vibrant experiences. Since 2011, Jessie and Katey have been creating large-scale public murals. The all inclusive and socially engaging nature of creating art for the public is a driving force in their work. Inspired by the architectural surfaces of each environment, their dynamic paintings often curve around corners and spill onto the ground.
