MEET THE ARTISTS

BRIAN J HOFFMAN

Brian’s work is often a direct response to the craziness of everyday life. Ideas come from everywhere due to the constant oversaturation of the media, news, and images that seep into his thoughts and come out in his work — both consciously and unconsciously. His art is inspired by sexuality, society, and the macabre. While it can be infused with pretty heavy topics at times, it winks fun while still being a bit subversive. Brian J Hoffman is based in Boston.

The amount of boards she has on Pinterest is record-breaking, and she’s always singing at least one of the songs stuck in her head. She enjoys texture, funky type, and point and shoot photography. PATTY DEGRANDPRE

Patty deGrandpre’s work evolves from photos and images of common objects and scenes from my life and travels. She crops, deconstructs and layers imagery, blending abstraction with reality. For deGrandpre, anchoring each work with a recognizable image that suggests a narrative. A common identifiable object becomes the catalyst as it morphs from an expected pictorial to an unexpected abstraction. She makes sense of the subjective through thoughtful use of structure, form, and color.
