The Podcast Garage is offering tangible resources and meaningful ways to deepen involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement. This moment is an inflection point for our communities. We all need to take responsibility for ourselves and our spaces, look critically at the ways in which the media represents us, and imagine radical futures by telling new stories.
In the coming weeks, the Podcast Garage commits to: host conversations focused on creativity, identity, and social justice; share anti-racism and media literacy materials for audio makers; offer tangible support to Black podcasters, journalists, and storytellers; and continue to assess and communicate our long-term plans to support new and diverse voices with the resources they need to thrive.

Free Equipment Rentals
The Podcast Garage is now offering free one-week rentals for organizations or individuals in Boston that are recording audio of the current Black Lives Matter protests and/or capturing conversations, perspectives, and stories about race and inequality.
They have a large variety of professional audio equipment — including recorders, headphones, handheld microphones, and smartphone microphones. They can design an audio field kit specifically for your needs with contactless pickup and dropoff at the Podcast Garage in Boston.
Free Shop Talks
The Podcast Garage believes media and stories are powerful tools for social change.
To support the movement for racial justice, their team is hosting free Shop Talks (formerly Office Hours) for Black podcasters, audio makers, journalists, and storytellers until August 28th. The purpose of these sessions is to give independent producers the resources and support they need to take the next step in their audio project.
