ARTIST Q&A

Born: Boston, MA

Currently lives: Cambridge, MA

Title of artwork: We Are Only As Blind As We Want To Be

What’s it about? During the last few months, I have been working to educate myself on race and privilege in the United States. The Maya Angelou quote, “we are only as blind as we want to be”, resonated with me. I am so grateful for the Black artists and activists who have shaped our country and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Where else can we find your work? I post my work on instagram, dribbble (@madeleinemcmichael) and I have a new website in the works!

One thing you learned about your self or creative practice during COVID-19? I’ve learned that I need to take breaks and spend more time designing “for fun”, not exclusively for clients.
