ARTIST Q&A

Born: Pleasantville, NY

Currently lives: Allston, MA

Title of artwork: Ultraviolet

What’s it about? I made this about a year ago when I was still finding my footing in my own personal style. I think it’s the perfect representation of what I’d rather be doing right now especially, nothing, but with my friends. It means a lot to me and has always been one that’s stuck out to a lot of people. I love the cool purples and the rainbow in the background. Every inch is used and makes you feel warm inside.

Where else can we find your work? On my website or Instagram!

Where have you been finding inspiration as an artist lately? Music always! Phoebe Bridgers newest album “Punisher,” or some of my friends’ newest releases.

One thing you learned about your self or creative practice during COVID-19? That I procrastinate a lot more than I thought!

Where is your favorite public art piece in the area? Jessie and Katey’s piece! It’s the last thing I see before I get all the way to work in the morning and I still stop everyday just to stare at it.

What would your last meal be? As much rice as humanly possible

Go-to karaoke song? Girl in a Band by Kim Gordon

Title / Author you would choose if it was your turn to host Book Club? Mamma Mia by ABBA

Favorite take-out spot in Allston/Brighton? Coreanos!
