Title of artwork: Why Don’t You Get Things Started?

What’s it about? I had started a series called Muppet Mondays on Instagram, where I tried to do a muppet every week in a kind of pop art style. I combined a few of those and added a few more to create this piece. The muppets were a big inspiration on my little mind in the late 70’s.

Where else can we find your work?Cotton Bureau

Where is your favorite public art piece in the area? I’m a big fan of Rob “ProBlak” Gibbs and was lucky enough to work with him briefly at Artists For Humanity. I find all of his recent mural work inspiring on a number of levels.

What would your last meal be? Fried Chicken

If it was your turn to host book club, which title would you choose? Petty by Warren Zanes

Go-to karaoke song? Let’s stick with Petty and go with “Even The Losers”

Favorite place in Allston/Brighton for takeout?
Is the Breakfast Club still there?

What have you learned about your creative practice over the last year? Be kind, be patient and if the client is neither of those things in return, cut yourself loose.

A piece of advice you would give to your pre-pandemic self? Get your home in good shape – you’ll be spending a lot of time there.
